Link vs Ruby Rose is ZombieSlayer23's Season Finale of his 5th Season. It pits Link from Nintendo's Legend of Zelda and Ruby Rose from Rooster Teeth's RWBY.
(Note: I was originally going to have Kid Goku vs Ryu be the Season Finale since it was the most picked idea, but I decided against it because RWBY Volume 4 is coming out this Saturday, and I am hyped! To celebrate RWBY Volume 4, I am pitting Ruby Rose against Link. I like the idea and think it will be an epic battle!)

Legend of Zelda vs RWBY! Which powerful and young hero with an incredible weapon to duel with will win! We'll find out in the Season Finale of Season 5 on One Minute Melee!

Pre Fight[]
Ruby lifted her Crescent Rose and took down as many Grimms as she could. Slice after slice, Grimms fell to the ground and were turned into ashes. Ruby couldn’t help smirking as she took down every Grimm, silently hoping Ren, Jaune, and Nora would come any time soon. As she took down a Beowolf, a Beringel appeared out from nowhere. Ruby quickly took her gun part of her Crescent Rose and shot the Beringel straight in the face. The Beringel stammered backwards, giving Ruby the chance to turn into 3 rolling balls of Red and all hit the Beringel in the face. The Beringel slammed into the ground, knocked out cold. Ruby quickly finished the Beringel off by stabbing it in the stomach and shooting it with one shot.
Ruby looked ahead, not seeing any more Grimm in sight. Ruby could have sworn she saw about 5 more. She turned around, happy with her victory. As she pulled out her phone, she heard Nora and Jaune running for their lives.
Ruby: Uh, Jaune? Nora?
Jaune: RUBY! WE NEED HELP! SOME ELF GUY IS TRYING TO-
Jaune stopped talking, not saying anything. Seconds passed before Ruby could hear Nora scream.
Ruby: NORA!
Ruby checked her device to see where Nora was, and saw that they were at Beacon Academy. Why did they go there, it’s full of Grimm! Ruby set off at Beacon with a start, running at full speed.

Link grabbed his Master Sword and brushed all the Blood off the edge. He stared at the corpses below him, one blonde haired boy and one black haired boy. The girl had her arm sliced off, but she would still suffer for what she did. Link was simply heading to the direction of Ganondorf when he was hit straight in the side by a hammer. It had been the girl and 2 other boys. But Link had quickly executed them before the 3 did any harm.
Link was focusing on what had happened other than Ruby running straight at Link. Ruby blasted herself with all of her might at Link, slashing him with a simple swipe of her Crescent Rose. Link stumbled backwards, but quickly regained his balance and grabbed his Shield in his other hand.
Ruby: What have you done to my friends?!
Link: So those are your friends, huh? I guess I’ll have to eliminate you as well!
The 2 lung at one another, knowing one thing and that only. One would live.
SEASON FINALE, FEEL THE HYPE!

Ruby and Link locked blows from their weapons as they glared at one another in hatred. The echo from the clash was piercing there ears, similar to a screeching sound. With a final shove, the 2 stumbled backwards but quickly recovered. Link decided to go defensive and grab his bow. Link leaped onto a nearby tower, shooting several arrows into Ruby’s way. The Crescent Rose sliced the arrows in half arrow for arrow. After several arrows shot, Link was out. Ruby ran at Link with all of her might. Link quickly grabbed his sword, but was too late. Ruby slashed Link several times with Crescent Rose on Link, leaving the elf to stammer backwards in shock. This gave Ruby the chance to charge an explosive kick; she landed it into Link before long. The elf was blasted far away, but Ruby caught up to him as he zoomed through the air. Right before Link landed into the grassy ground, a black hole appeared below Link. Link went through the hole, leaving Ruby to stare in shock. She was too fast, she couldn’t stop running. She was about to stop her run, but she tripped over a rock! She flew through the black hole, leaving black to fill the screen.

The 2 heroes crashed into New York City, quickly getting up and racing at one another. Link and Ruby exchanged blows with their weapons, banging into the ground after every strike. As Link stammered backwards when Ruby won an encounter, Ruby was slammed in the face by some green figure. It was a blur, the green figure must have been punched into Ruby or something. Link smirked before leaping into the air, grabbing his sword, and sliced the green figure in the head. It was the Hulk. Hulk showed no sign of pain, it just angered him on. As he lifted his fists and flew it down at Link, he was slammed into the ground by Asura. The figure landed rapid punches into Hulk's face, turning into his Mantra form. All arms crashed into Hulk, making Hulk roar in anger. Asura quickly charged a punch and smashed it into Hulk, blasting Hulk into the air. Link and Ruby watched as Asura leaped after Hulk, leaping high into the air with one jump. As Link was watching Asura disappear, Ruby blasted a fire blast from her sniper at Link. Link blocked it with his shield, but it was no use. The impact sent Link blasting into a building, but, before he was sent barricading into the building, a black hole appeared behind him. He was sent through the hole and into the dark. Ruby did not hesitate, for her friends! She leaped into the hole as well, disappearing from sight. As it happened, a gigantic roar was heard from a distance, it was so loud and far it probably came from another planet. Ruby covered her ears, disappearing from sight.

Link slammed into the ground, groaning as he made contact with the ground.
Link: What have we here....
Link turned around with a start, hearing several bangs from a gun. It was Deadpool. Deadpool was taking rounds of his gun and taking shots at some car. What the heck was he doing?! Right on time, Link was sent crashing into the ground with a simple swipe of Ruby's Crescent Rose. Ruby quickly turned herself into 3 rolling balls, all flying at Link. Link smacked 2 of them away, but one slammed into Link. Link was sent tumbling into Deadpool, making the anti-hero yell in surprise.
Deadpool: OH COME ON!
Deadpool quickly kicked Link off of him, punched him in the face, and brought out his sword. Right before Deadpool brought the sword on Link, time stopped. Spoderman had stopped time. Spoderman appeared from behind the car and reached Link. He turned to see Ruby, whom was frozen of course, standing with her Crescent Rose raised behind her back. Apparently the 2 were fighting. Spoderman grabbed Ruby by the hand, kicked her in the gut, and did the same for Link. As the time started to unfreeze, Link and Ruby coughed some blood from their throat. As time completely unfroze, they were sent blasting into the air. Spoderman waved good-bye as he watched them fly in the distance, but the car next to him exploded, causing him to crash into a wall. That was the thing Link saw last of Spoderman was he and Ruby flung into another portal.

The Meta vs Berserker Lancelot
As soon as Ruby and Link slammed into the ground, a gigantic roar erupted from nearby. Ruby and Link quickly brought themselves up, looking to see what was happening. A man in armor whose eyes were glowing red slammed a street lamp into the side of another man in armor's face. Berseker Lancelot had hit The Meta! The Meta stammered backwards, but quickly recovered. He took a shot on Berseker with Brute Shot, but Berseker didn't show any sign of pain. He kept running at Meta. Meta was sent into a car, leaving the car to burst into flames. Meta quickly recovered from the hit, but was sent into the ground by Berseker's lamp. It was time for Ruby and Link to take action. They just realized who was standing next to them; Ruby and Link locked weapons in a fierce glare. A few moments later, Ruby won the short encounter and kicked Link into The Meta. The Meta was currently shooting grenades at Berseker, but was stopped when he was slammed by Link. Link was sent into the ground along with The Meta. Berserker looked startled from what had just happened; he quickly turned to Ruby and let out another roar. Ruby knew what she had to do. Ruby quickly ran at Link at full speed, smashing her Crescent Rose into Berserker's head. The tip of the Crescent Rose scratched Berserker's head, leaving a scar across the helmet. Berseker quickly recovered, but Ruby wasn't finished. She started dancing with Crescent Rose, striking Berseker several times with Crescent Rose. As Ruby sent another swing at Berserker, the knight ducked under the attack and slammed into Ruby with full force. Ruby was sent into a a building, debris crashing above her. She quickly fired rounds of her sniper part of the Crescent Rose at Berseker. All bullets hit Berseker with tremendous force, causing the knight to collapse into the ground. This gave Ruby the chance to swirl around Berseker with full speed, lifting him up into the air as she went. Once Berserker was high into the air, Ruby landed an explosive kick into the knight. Berserker was sent toppling into The Meta, whom had just awoken from his trance. Link raised his sword, ready to decapitate the 2 men. But Ruby shot a blow at Link, hitting him right in the gut and causing him to crash into a tree. As he slammed into the ground, a Black Hole appeared from below him. He toppled into the Black Hole and disappeared from sight. Ruby hesitated. What should she do? Kill the 2 men in armor or avenge her friends? Her friends were the only thing she had left; Ruby quickly lunged into the Black Hole with tremendous speed, and like Link, she disappeared from sight.

Ruby and Link slammed into the ground, coughing dust as they pulled themselves up.
BAM!
Ruby and Link turned around to the direction of the sound, facing a yellow hedgehog and a... Flying Raccoon? Ruby and Link had no idea what the creature was, but all they knew was that it was fighting the Hedgehog. The 2 were Mega Mewtwo Y and Super Shadow. Super Shadow developed several punches into Mega Mewtwo Y's gut, catching the Pokemon off guard. After several punches, Super Shadow missed a punch that resulted in Mewtwo teleporting behind Shadow and sending a rapid-fire beam at Super Shadow.
Super Shadow: Chaos..... BLAST!
The 2 forces of energy were locked together. The Chaos Blast and the Beam rocked like a tree in the wind as it was pushed with all of their might.
Ruby was the first to react; she lunged at Shadow and kicked him in the face. Super Shadow slammed into the ground, his eyes glowing with hatred as he looked up at Ruby. Super Shadow teleported behind Ruby several times and landed devastating punches into her while Mewtwo watched the fight begin. He turned around, facing Link.
Link: You!
The 2 faces glared at one another in hatred as they thought back from when they dueled in SSB4, Mewtwo resulting as the victor by slamming Link off the stage. Mewtwo sent a energy ball at Link, but the hero blocked it with his shield and smashed Mewtwo in the face with the shield. Mewtwo was sent backwards, into Shadow, resulting in the 2 creatures to topple onto one another and lay their motionless for a while.
Link: WOAH!
A black hole was created below Link, causing the hero to collapse into the hole. Ruby waited for something to happen around her, but nothing did. As she thought about it, she was kicked upwards by Shadow. Ruby noticed a good-sized black hole where she was headed, also watching as Mewtwo's head dropped to the ground by a homing attack from Shadow. Ruby yelled in hatred as she pulled the trigger on her Crescent Rose, blasting her downwards back at Shadow. As Shadow reverted back to his normal state, a blur passed him and struck him in the chest. Shadow dropped to the ground, grabbing his wound in pain. He released his hand just for a moment to see his wound. It was horrible. The deep cut had blood all over his chest like a waterfall. Blood dropped to the ground and formed a puddle around him, making the Hedgehog collapse to the ground in a heap. As for Ruby, she was blasted straight into another Black Hole. She looked back one more time to see the Hedgehog on the ground motionless. Ruby smirked before disappearing.

Right before Ruby and Link were sent barricading into the ground, a massive blast from the sky erupted from the sky. A single hole through the sky had made the noise. Ruby and Link picked themselves up to see a Soul Reaper getting struck several times by the holes. Ruby and Link were both heroes; they knew what they had to do. Ruby charged at the swordsmen who was none other then Yu Narukami. Yu noticed Ruby approaching and decided to take a slash at her with his sword. Ruby easily dodged the slash and kicked Yu backwards. Yu quickly summoned Izanagi before anything else hurt him. Izanagi quickly thrust his sword at Ruby, wildly slashing at her until she was blasted backwards from the impact. Ruby coughed before taking another risk and ran towards Izanagi. As Izanagi thrust his sword in Ruby's direction, the female hunter ducked under the attack and sliced Izanagi's leg with Crescent Rose. Both Izanagi and Yu screamed in shear pain, leaving Ichigo to stop getting struck by the holes for a moment. But the moment of joy stopped as Yu continued to strike Ichigo with his holes. Izanagi brought himself up and punched Ruby hard in the face. A hard crack was heard somewhere around Ruby's face as it happened. Ruby was sent barricading into Link, causing Link to crash into the ground. This also gave Ruby the chance to strike Link in the face at once with Crescent Rose, leaving the Hyrule Warrior to drop to the ground with a massive scar streaked across his face. Ruby smirked, unaware of Izanagi standing right behind her. With one simple kick from Izanagi, Ruby was sent into the air where she was sucked into a massive hole.... As for Link? Izanagi did the same to Link as he did to Ruby. He was sent into the hole in a matter of seconds.

Ruby slammed into the ground before Link did. The Hyrule Warrior did not stir as he crashed into the ground. He didn't move a single bit. Ruby leaned closer to him to see if he was dead. He was still breathing. Ruby had no choice but to life up her Crescent Rose, but was stopped as a black line streaked around Link. Link's normal appearance faded as a blackened version of Link appeared onto the screen.
Ruby: What the?!
As the black line vanished, a new challenger appeared. Dark Link. Dark Link quickly grabbed his shield and bashed it hard into Ruby. Ruby was sent flying into a Bandicoot named Crash before abruptly stopping. Ruby quickly reacted with a simple kick, which sent the Bandicoot flying into Mario. Luckily for Mario, he activated his Star Power-Up. Crash shrieked in fear. He was going to die! But he stopped inches away from Star Mario, leaving Crash to quickly run away and hide behind a boulder. Ruby turned to face the Plumber, who was smirking. Star Mario used the remaining time of his power up to charge at Ruby. Once Star Mario was in reach, Ruby sped behind Star Mario, placed the tip of Crescent Rose around his neck, and blasted a blast from her blaster. Star Mario was lucky. His power up ended right after she blasted from her blaster. That meant he wasn't going to get his head blasted off! Mario's powerup quickly wore of, giving Mario the chance to chuck a fireball at Ruby. Ruby dodged the fireball and lunged at Mario, but Dark Link intercepted the strike. He slashed Ruby across the stomach with his sword. Ruby dropped to the ground, only to get swept away by a black hole, leaving the Hyrule Warrior to raise his sword in victory. But shortly after the taunt, he was swept away by a Black Hole as well. The last thing he heard was a sound from Ruby to Mario.
Ruby: Until we meet again....

Ruby and Link crashed into the ground.
Ruby: ENOUGH! I AM SO TIRED OF ALL THIS FIGHTING!
Link paused for a moment, thinking of what Ruby had said. But before Ruby could say anything else, Link launched his sword at Ruby. The girl opened her mouth for a half second before she was sliced in half by Link's unfair play. Link smirked and was glad that the fight was over.
